How I Turned My Freelance Prompts Into PromptPilot

I built PromptPilot after burning out writing custom prompts for clients as a one-person AI agency. In January 2025 I was juggling six retainers and every new workflow meant another document full of messy prompts that nobody updated. I hacked together a small internal tool to store versions, run quick A/B tests, and share prompts with clients in a clean interface. Two of my clients asked if they could invite teammates—my first sign that the tool was more valuable than my consulting. I soft-launched in a few Slack communities with a $49/seat plan and unlimited WhatsApp support. The first ten customers came from screenshots of my own dashboards and Loom walkthroughs. By May 2025, we crossed $8.3k MRR with almost zero paid marketing. PromptPilot now helps small teams ship consistent AI workflows without needing an in-house prompt engineer.
